Description:
The 1890 Capacity Building Grants Program (CBG) is intended to strengthen teaching and research programs in the food and agricultural sciences by building the institutional capacities of the 1890 Land-Grant Institutions, Tuskegee University and West Virginia State University through cooperative linkages with Federal and non-Federal entities.
The CBG program supports projects that strengthen teaching programs in the food and agricultural sciences in the targeted educational need areas of curriculum design and materials development, faculty preparation and enhancement for teaching, instructional delivery systems, scientific instrumentation for teaching, student experiential learning, and student recruitment and retention. CBG also supports projects that strengthen research programs in the targeted research need areas of studies and experimentation in food and agricultural sciences, centralized research support systems, technology delivery systems, and other creative applications.
